In conjunction with the 32nd Annual Iron Pour, Professor Wayne E. Potratz has organized National Iron Pour Day.
Each pour site will attempt to put its iron pour on the internet as either a live video stream, quicktime movie, or series of still images. Each group pour will be able to "tap into" the iron pours of the others. National Iron Pour Day calls attention to the very active interest in cast iron art making all across the country. National Iron Pour Day is also a warm-up for the 4th International Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art which will be held next year at Johnson Atelier Technical Institute of Sculpture, Mercerville, NJ April 10-13, 2002
